The short answer is: plenty!

They are all by Fastnet Rock out of blue blood broodmares. They were all Group 1 placed but not Group 1 winners. They all stand in the Hunter Valley. Hinchinbrook and Smart Missile became leading first crop sires and look to have great futures ahead of them.
Kingstar Farm is betting Bull Point can equal the feats of these two stallions and become a leading stallion in one of the most competitive stallion markets in the world.

The stud’s owner, Matthew Sandblom, has been combing the broodmare markets for suitable matches for his very good-looking son of Fastnet Rock.

His research shows that Bull Point matches very well with mares by stallions like Encosta De Lago, Galileo and other Sadler’s Wells line stallions, Zabeel and his sons, and even a younger stallions like Snitzel.

“I’ve bought about 25 mares that fit the bill so far and I should have a few more by the time the season starts. Bull Point is also receiving good support from Duncan Ramage on behalf of Data Chin Nam’s Think Big Stud and other leading breeders like Neven Bottica who stands the up and coming stallion Dalghar in New Zealand,” Sandblom said.

“Neven and I discussed working together to help both of our stallions succeed as we realised most of the mares who will work well with Bull Point also suit Dalghar. So we will be shipping quite a few of the mares in foal to Bull Point to New Zealand next year to be served by Dalghar,” Sandblom continued.

“I’ve learnt from my involvement in Newgate that you can’t make a stallion on your own and you need to team up with smart breeders to give you the best chance of success,” Sandblom concluded.

Kingstar is offering a lifetime breeding right to each breeder who sends two mares to Bull Point during his first two seasons.

People are welcome to come and inspect Bull Point, and his fellow stallions Salade and Monaco Consul, at Kingstar during the stallion parade weekend (Friday August the 19thto Sunday the 21st, between 10am and 4pm).

Anyone who makes a booking to Bull Point during the weekend will get our downside protection package, which normally costs $700, for free. This package means you get a full service fee refund if your foal dies before it turns one or if it sells for less than $20,000 at a yearling sale.
